COMMUNITY SHIFTS
Practising community through co-creation and participation is a founding value of The Palace Residency. Nothing happens unless we, together, make it happen. This goes as much for the day-to-day functioning of the site as it does for the artworks and friendships that will unfold over the two weeks. Besides generally treating the site, event and community as our shared responsibility, all residents commit to volunteering.
The site runs through the commitment of all residents to take on community shifts. Community shifts are organized in teams and are a great way to connect with other residents and take pride in making the residency happen!
Everyone accepted to the 2024 Residency will take a minimum of 3 community shifts over the two-week period. All residents are also invited to serve more than the minimum.
